At Heaven's Dog, owner Charles Phan and staff reinterpret, reinvent and repackage traditional Northern Chinese dishes for divine results.

Enter into a thoroughly modern yet natural space, with clean, long lines and natural accents: natural wood tables, warm orange leather seats, and a spectacular bar made from one, 4-inch slab of cypress - with all the cracks, knots and grain preserved and incorporated.

Produce from local Northern California farmers, such as Prather Ranch, Range Brothers, Star Route and Dirty Girl Farms are transformed into pork-filled Shanghai dumplings, golden rings of salt and pepper squid, sweet rice-flour buns and shrimp won-ton soup.

At the bar, discover one of the best artisanal cocktail scenes in SF: practitioners of the cocktail art prepare and design speciality cocktails using hand-cut ice, small batches of locally sourced gum syrups, and quality liqueurs.
